UFC London Ticket Prices Revealed

We are less than two months away from the UFC’s return to the capital of England. Leon Edwards will headline the Fight Night Card at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, London, against Jack Della Maddalena on March 22 in an event featuring several homegrown fighters from the UK.

In the co-main event, former light-heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will face the 12-1 Carlos Ulberg, with the winner moving ever closer to staking a claim for a title shot against the formidable champion Alex Pereira. For the UK-based fans, Nathaniel Wood, ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann, and Jai Herbert will all feature on the main card.

UFC London Ticket Prices

Presale tickets for UFC London went on sale this morning, and the price of the tickets for the O2 Arena caused some fans to share their displeasure on X:

UFC London tickets used to be £80-95 for tickets at the top tier. Around £130-£150 for bottom/middle tier. Just been on today to look at tickets for March & its £165 for the top tier & £300+ for middle tier £500+ for bottom tier. Absolute joke from the UFC #UFCLondon

Fans expressing displeasure at UFC ticket prices isn’t something new, however, it has become more and more commonplace in recent years. The UFC would point towards the ‘supply and demand’ argument. As the sport of MMA continues to grow and as long as enough people want to come and see the event (which they do), then the more they can charge.

Despite that, the ticket prices for UFC London have surprised many, with the cheapest nosebleed seats costing £104.50 and seats in the top tier costing all the way up to £203.75. For those with slightly deeper pockets, floor seats for the event start at £322.75 and ascend the closer you get to the cage, where they cost around the £2000 mark.

The UFC usually lets everybody know when they have broken the gate record for a particular venue, usually breaking the news in the post-fight press conference. It begs the question, ‘Is breaking gate records good news?’ From the company perspective, it certainly is: more revenue, higher profits. For the fans? Not so much. The UFC sells out most of its shows anyway, so the higher the gate usually corresponds with all-time high ticket prices for said venue.

What do you think of the UFC London ticket prices, are they too expensive? Or is the UFC justified in charging these high amounts? Let us know in the comments.
